The Moscow City Court has imposed a life sentence on Leonid Nevzlin, a former YUKOS shareholder. The court found him guilty of organizing several murders, as well as of an attempted murder and an armed assault.
Nevzlin, reportedly living in Israel, was accused of 11 charges. According to an existing agreement between Russia and Israel, he has the right to serve out the life sentence on the territory of Israel, state prosecutor Alexander Koblyakov said.
